The Dashama Vrat is starting from the 17 August, 2023, Thursday and It will end on 26 August, 2023, Saturday. When the Dashama Vrat is starting from the day of Amas, Women are installing a the idol of Dashama or Dasha mata, they are perform worship and fast for 10 days. On these days, Dashama murti or sandhani is duly installed at home, streets and temples. For ten days, the special worship of Dashama consists of archana, satsang, bhajan, aarti, kirtan and distribution of prasad. On the day of first Vrat, the devotees bring home the idol in Dasha mata. This fast is called Dashama or Dashamata Vrat. This vrat is done in most of the states of North India as well.

- Wakeup early in the morning and take a bath.
- Light incense or lamp.
- Listen to the vrat katha of Dashama with devotion.
- Do the Nokora (નકોરડા) fast for 10 days.
- Worship Maa by making an earthen sandhni (માટીની સાંઢણી બનાવી).
- After 10 days, throw the sandhni into the river.
- Celebrating Vrat in the 5th year.
- Donate gold, silver or metal sandhni to a Brahmin, also donating clothes.
